So I’m considering a T5 swap for the Mustang. I can get a complete bolt on kit and do it in a weekend - if I had a way to get my car in the air. I have my HF jack stands sure but ...

What about Quickjacks? I need to deal with my suspension squeaks as well so I’d have more than one near term use. Would they be good for clearance? Significantly better than the utter pain of using jack stands?

My uninformed opinion: they are a faster jack. Wouldn’t you still want to back them up with jackstands?

I would also suggest jackpoint jackstands. Much cheaper. I've been really pleased with them.

I think they have integrated locks so you don’t need jack stands. I think the main downside (beyond cost) is that they block access to a significantly larger area than jack stands.

Ya they basically block the side between the wheels. They leave the drivetrain exposed, hang the suspension,  and appear to give quite a bit more vertical clearance than jack stands tho. Also they are more stable, so there’s that.

I swapped the clutch in my Jeep over winter in my driveway. Jack stands were the last thing I was concerned about. Of course swapping a transmission with a TC attached is a bit more difficult.

I love mine. People already mentioned they block some more than jack stands but not really in areas I ever need to get to if I’m using these. Also 21" is an awesome max height, I don’t feel claustrophobic at all and there’s just so much space under the cars. I make sure they engage the lock and then power down the HPU but it takes a human to overcome the locks anyway.

I’ve got a set. I really like them. They can be finicky to get lined up with pinch seems, but still worth it. As someone else mentioned, they have a lock at the top, so you don’t have to use jack stand if you don’t want to.
